When teaching students on a regular basis, progress isn't always captured, but we need to remember to take time and acknowledge even the small moments of success.
Each year, the high school students at the Job Foundation take a comprehensive test covering the topics they have learned throughout the year. These lessons include Illegal Activities, Taxes, Investing, Volunteering, Banks and Credit Unions, Addictive Behaviors, Digital Citizenship, and Emotional Intelligence and Conflict Resolution.
The test consists of a variety of question formats, including matching terms to definitions, multiple-choice questions, and short-answer responses. Not only does the assessment measure students’ knowledge of the material, but it also challenges them to demonstrate their understanding in different ways.
While the test covers a wide range of important topics, the students rose to the challenge and demonstrated just how much they had learned throughout the year. On their final assessment, the majority of the high school students earned a perfect score of 100%.
We are incredibly proud of the effort these students put into learning and growing this year. Their outstanding results reflect both their hard work and their commitment to becoming responsible and financially literate young adults. After a successful year of learning, they have certainly earned an enjoyable and relaxing summer!
