The summer sun has been shining brighter, and the temperatures have been rising. While it may feel like the school year is still a long way off, it is actually approaching quickly. This past week, the staff at the Job Foundation hard at work re-enrolling students into our financial literacy program.
Re-enrollment gives our staff the opportunity to meet one-on-one with many of our returning students while also welcoming new families into the program. As parents complete the necessary paperwork, the kids get to enjoy coloring, crafts, and other creative activities.
One of the biggest highlights—besides getting to see all of our students and their families again—was watching our newest kindergarten students sign the paperwork for their very first debit cards! Their smiles and excitement made it clear they were ready to begin this new adventure.
This year, we are excited to serve an estimated 142 students: 80 elementary students, 43 middle school students, and 19 high school students.
We can't wait to see all of our students back in our lessons and continue helping them build the skills they need for the future. Until then, enjoy these last few weeks of summer—we'll see you soon!
