Seeing seniors graduate from the Job Foundation keeps us motivated as we work with them for up to 13 years. It is so exciting to watch them finish their years of the program by graduating from high school, obtaining all their hard-earned savings they have grown over the years, and going on to the next step in their life.
Kendra is another one of our outstanding seniors for the 2025–2026 school year. She has been a part of the Job Foundation program for many years, and it has been exciting to watch her grow into such a driven and accomplished young woman.
Throughout her time in school, Kendra has achieved a great deal academically. This year, she reached an impressive milestone by graduating early. Through hard work, determination, and taking on additional credits, she was able to complete her coursework ahead of schedule and begin preparing for her future sooner.
Kendra has a strong passion for education and working with children. She plans to attend college to become an elementary school teacher and hopes to earn both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. Over the years, she has already gained valuable experience working with younger students through opportunities in classrooms at Lowell, further strengthening her love for teaching.
During her years with the Job Foundation, Kendra has also gained important life and financial literacy skills. She especially enjoyed learning about credit, building a strong credit score, and understanding the importance of responsible spending habits.
One piece of advice Kendra shared was: “It’s important to keep track of everything you buy and spend. It’s important to buy your needs before you get what you want.”
She has also expressed how meaningful it has been to serve the community through the Job Foundation and how those experiences have shown her the importance of giving back throughout her life.
We are incredibly proud of all Kendra has accomplished and cannot wait to see all that she will achieve in the future. We at the Job Foundation wish her the very best as she graduates from high school and begins this exciting new chapter in her life.
